SUMMER SCHEDULE

Included in this newsletter is important information you need about summer lessons. PLEASE READ THIS INFORMATION CAREFULLY. I do expect all students to continue with lessons through the summer. Students who do not take summer lessons will be put on my waiting list for the fall. In my studio policies I have stated that the monthly tuition you pay includes all lessons during the school year as well as ten lessons during June, July and August. Due to some surgery I need to have in July, I am changing the number of lessons to eight. Please keep the June and July tuition payments the same as your monthly payments have been during the school year, but make your August payment half the usual amount.

The current lesson schedule will continue until June 10. I will be on vacation June 11-19 and the summer schedule will begin on Monday, June 20. Please sign up below for a summer lesson time and include any vacation/camp dates on the form.

PIANORAMA DUET EVENT

On Saturday, October 29^th, 2005, Ohio Music Teachers Association is holding an event called Pianorama. This is an event that gives students an opportunity to participate in an ensemble, which is something that piano students don’t usually get to be involved in. Students are paired with a partner and learn duet music that will be performed in a large group with a conductor. Twenty-four pianos are on stage with two students at each piano. There are levels for students who have had at least one year of lessons up to an advanced group for talented high school students and teachers. Participation in the event requires attendance at rehearsals on the three Saturdays before the concert. The rehearsals are held at Graves Piano and Organ and last about an hour. The concert is in the evening on October 29^th at Pleasantview Middle School in the Southwestern School District.

I need to know soon which students want to participate in this event because we will begin working on the music this summer. Please indicate below if you are interested in participating.
